ONE UN Rwanda

Rwanda is a living and breathing example of UN reform. The aim is to be more coherent in our actions, to work more efficiently and have stronger effect for the development of Rwanda and well-being of its population. Rwanda is one of eight countries in the world that has been selected as a pilot country for the Delivering as One UN reform.

  • Youth Films Premier at the World Cup Matches in Gisenyi

    Kigali, 2nd July - Short films of fifteen Rwandan youth were screened last week in front of hundreds of attentive and excited football fans as young filmmakers watched excitedly from behind the massive portable inflatable screen provided to them courtesy of the Ministry of Youth in collaboration with the UN in Rwanda. These films were part of an initiative to bring the FIFA Cup and public service messaging to rural Rwanda youth.  (read more)

     

  • United States Military Academy, West Point Visits UN- Rwanda to learn about the psychological implication of reconciliation and the role of women

    Kigali, 11th June 2010 - A seven-person delegation from the US military academy, West Point visited the UN Office in Kigali, Rwanda for a briefing as well as to broaden their knowledge on psychological implications of reconciliation of Rwandan society after the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. The delegation was led by retired Lt. Col. Professor Diane Ryan.  Read more
